Amarot was born in San Salvario. It is a bitter of extraordinary quality that contains the pure essence of chinotto and 30 different herbs and flowers, carefully selected and individually extracted. Masterfully produced by the distillers of Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Amarot is the result of a skillful alchemy between natural ingredients and traditional production methods, making it a liqueur with character and incomparable smoothness.
The infusion of fresh peels and chinottos, combined with the cold extraction of citrus essences, herbs, roots and spices, preserves the aromatic integrity of each component. Long maturation harmonizes the flavors, culminating in a bitterness that offers a perfect balance between the sweetness of chinotto, the bitterness of absinthe and gentian, and the warm notes of vanilla, cardamom and cinchona, with accents of licorice, anise and cocoa.
To the eye, Amarot is distinguished by its intense brown color with orange highlights. On the nose, a complex aromatic bouquet opens, where citrus notes of chinotto and orange stand out, enriched by nuances of vanilla, cardamom and spicy and sweetish accents.
